Ward and McClee is a recently formed duo that features the collaboration of Michael Ward violin, and Bill Mauchly, guitar. Looking to bend and blend genres, they cover a mix of old-time jazz, sixties rock’n’roll, gut-bucket blues, traditional tunes, and light classical. Ward’s violin was center stage in downtown New Haven last summer for the International Festival of Arts and Ideas, playing alongside such headliners as Mavis Staples and the Peach Pie Band. Mauchly played with Musica Orbis back in the seventies and is currently guitarist with the jazz quintet, Flyin’ Home.

They are not only improvisers who play it differently every time, they are also communicators, looking to trade ideas and to have a musical conversation. They have a signature sound, and you will have as much fun as they are having when you come along.

You can contact them at info@wardandmcclee.com.

Special thanks to the Valley Green Inn for providing the venue for the videos. They serve New American cuisine in an authentic colonial atmosphere, and they are the perfect setting for weddings and events. Please visit their website
